Pattern Cutting & Reading
Thursday 11th June 2026, 10:00-14:00
A course for those about to embark on making their first sewn garment. We will cover how to read your pattern, to make sure you start off with all the right components to make your garment, and we’ll then start cutting your pattern, taking it slowly whilst learning about all the different pattern symbols, and finally, learning about how to get the most out of your fabric when you pin your pattern pieces down and start cutting out your garment- please note, we will not be working on the fit of the pattern, only on cutting accuracy and understanding pattern and instruction terms.

Quilted Boxy Bag

Join us for this hands on, one day sewing course designed to help you build confidence with using your sewing machine and making a 3-dimensional, practical Boxy Pouch. By the end of the session, you’ll leave with a beautiful quilted zipped project bag/ makeup bag and the skills to continue your sewing journey at home.
This course is perfect for people who are comfortable with using a sewing machine but want to develop new skills and learn new techniques. We’ll guide you step by step through the essentials, helping you understand the process to complete your project bag.
